D. Gray Man 7th Ending Theme

Ξ June 26th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Music, Anime |

Just as I love the 3rd and the 5th ending song of the anime D Gray Man, I also love its 7th ending song. Although I can’t understand the lyrics, i like the rhythm and the singer’s voice. So, I decided to share it here in my blog for anime music lovers out there.

Below is the lyrics and the translation of it. The song is really great!

D.Gray-Man 7th Ending

Mado no soto no keshiki utsuri kawatte
Kisetsu made ga atashi wo oiteku
Dare yori chikaku ni ite fuan no tameni
Doushite ano toki kidzukenakatta
Anata no sugata ga mie nakunaru mae ni
Tatta no tatta hitokoto “Ikanaide” ga ienakatta

The scenery outside the window changes
Even the season is leaving me behind
I was closer to you than anyone because of my insecurity
Why didn’t I realize it at that time?
Your figure slipped out of my sight before me
I didn’t say the only, single thing I wanted to – “Don’t leave me”

“Anata ga shiawase nara sore de ii” nante zettai ni ienai
Nejimagatta konna kokoro ga
Doushiyou mo nai kurai atashi wa kirai

I can never say “If you’re happy, then it’s alright”
A twisted, crooked heart like this
I hate it so much that I don’t know what to do

Tanjoubi ni moratta ‘initial ring’
Omoi dase ba tsurai dake na no ni
Ima sara wakatta no wa omou ijou ni
“Anata wo hitsuyou doushiteta koto?”

The ‘initial ring’ I received on my birthday
It’s only painful if I remember it
What I knew at this late hour is that this is all I’m thinking about:
”Why is it that I needed you?”

Futari de kidzuita chikasa e kowasu youni
Kokoro to urahara ni detekita kotoba ajikenai “Sayonara”

The two of us noticed the break approaching our closeness
Unlike what the heart said, the words were dull - “Goodbye”

Anata ga sugoku koukai suru
Sonna hi ga kuru koto no sonderu ijiwaru te
Minikui kokoro ga
kinou youni wo motto atashi wa kirai

You regret it greatly
The hurting, unkind hand of when such a day comes
This ugly soul, like yesterday, I hate it even more

I’m Crazy about Claymore

Ξ April 11th, 2008 | → 4 Comments | ∇ Anime, Current Obsession |

Claymore: Clare

Claymore is an anime based on the manga by Norihiro Yagi. The manga is still ongoing but the anime was concluded last September 25, 2007 with a total of 26 episodes (episodes 23-26 deviating from the manga). After I watched about 2 episodes, it quickly became one of my favourites. It takes place in a world where humans and demons (which they term ‘Yoma’) coexist, as well as ‘Claymore’s; half yoma, half human creatures (they look just like human but with silver hair and eyes). They are cold-blooded people who avoid contact with humans, and humans fear them because they still view them as ‘monsters’ but Claymores actually work for humans to get rid of Yoma, when requested.

At first, I didn’t think Claymore would strike me as an entertaining series because of the dark colors and some scenes are gorey like people’s hands/limbs getting chopped off. Even though that sounds gruesome, it is not as bad as one may think. Although the battle scenes do show limbs flying off, you don’t actually pay attention to them because of the action, and the plot is strong and interesting.

However, I don’t like the ending of the anime. It’s way too rushed. They divide Clare’s awakening into 2 parts, and they make Priscilla FURTHER awaken. Clare defeated Priscilla, and tried to take revenge for Teresa but Raki tried his very best to stop Clare.

Claymore

My favorite part of this anime are the episodes where Teresa appears, when the anime goes into the protagonist Clare’s past. That is the most interesting part of the anime. It has an EXCELLENT hook that will make you keep watching. It’s also emotional yet filled with suspence and action all at once. Because of the twists in the anime, it makes the anime unpredictable and obviously enjoyable. It’s amazing. Overall I would highly recommend this anime if you like some good action and tired of the mainstream “school girl/days” type of anime. The concept of the story is well brought across. We know much about Clare and we understands all the situation she and Raki is going through. That is what makes a good anime. The main reason why Claymore is so popular is because of it’s well balanced gore and action scenes. None are over-done, and none are under-done. It certainly makes you hunger for more, and lets you think what may happen next.

Of all the animes I’ve seen, Claymore is on the top of my list and I give it a rating of 9 out of 10. I know everyone who had seen the series will agree with me that Claymore is very addictive. :D

Funny Cartoon: I Love To Singa

Ξ April 9th, 2008 | → 1 Comments | ∇ Anime, Funny |

When I was young, I used to love cartoons very much. My favorite cartoon character is Bugs Bunny and I always watch Warner Brothers’ Looney Toons.

Until now, my fondness for cartoons/anime is still very strong and I have devoted some of my budget to collecting DVDs of my favorite anime series. Sometimes when my friends recommend new anime titles, I search for it and read about the plot, characters and reviews. That way, I will know if I would like to watch it or not. The video below, however, was not found while I was browsing for cartoons or animes whatsoever. I just noticed the YM status of an officemate and I was quite intrigued that I clicked on it. Later on, I found myself so entertained that I played the video many times and memorized the song “I Love to Singa” sung by the cute owl character. Watch this:

I know you love to sing-a too!

Rate Your Job Satisfaction

Ξ February 4th, 2008 | → 1 Comments | ∇ Funny, Quiz |

My friend had this quiz and I thought I would like to try so I did. I was just surprised to see the result and thought it was kinda funny so I would like to share it here.

I guess I over exaggerated my answers though. Here is what it says:

Your Job Dissatisfaction Level is 84%

Your job is a disaster - it’s surprising you’ve lasted this long.
You need to quit if you can, even if you don’t have another job lined up.
As far as stressful work situations go, yours is off the scale brutal.
Almost any job would be better than what you’ve got!

I’m Also Watching D Gray Man

Ξ January 17th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Anime |

A month passed until I decided to update this blog again. Fortunately, I’m in a not-so-busy-mode this week so there’s a time to do this. It seems like I forgot about how to blog lately. I forgot about my social networks accounts and I wonder when was the last time I visited them. I had a lot of things to blog about the holiday season but it’s already too late to talk about them.

And so, with nothing else in my mind, I decided to write about D Gray Man. It is an anime I discovered 2 months ago. The story is about eliminating evil and stopping the Millennium Earl from destroying the whole world. The main characters are called Exorcists and they are fighting demons with weapons that are known as Innocence.

Although I don’t like how they involve God’s name sometimes I find it rather interesting to watch. The fight scenes are good and I like the main character who is Allen Walker. He is a young British boy who can see demons. He was cursed by his surrogate father because he attempted to resurrect him by turning him into an Akuma. After he killed the Akuma which is his surrogate father he joined the Black Order, an organization that fights against the Millennium Earl and his demons.

Other than the story and the character, I like the opening and ending songs. Although I can’t understand what it says, I just like the music.

Promet Boracay Trip

Ξ December 14th, 2007 | → 5 Comments | ∇ Life, experiences |

Last November 30, 2007, Promet Philippines went to a Boracay Trip. Everybody was excited because aside from our Project Manager, none of us was able to visit the enchanting place. There were 18 of us including our two clients. We rented two vans and traveled for 7 hours to reach the island (normally it would take 4 to 5 hours but we made several stop overs and I was sick during the trip so I was one of the factor to slow them down).

We had some activities while we were there. We had fun doing the banana ride, island hopping and snorkeling. We enjoyed our 3 days stay there and as proof, here are some of our pictures. :D

A month ago (or was it two months already?), Chelsea tagged me with this desktop meme. I wasn’t able to post it right away because I’ve been busy with work that I couldn’t even do a simple entry. Anyway, to get it over with here is how my desktop looks like:

I am sorry if it doesn’t look very nice. I know I’m already old enough to know how to use the image editors installed in my PC but I haven’t really learned to. I won’t abide by the rules this time. I’m not tagging anyone. :P

When Friends Say Goodbye

Ξ November 18th, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Friendship |

I had this housemates who were living with us for about a year and 3 months. When they first arrived in the house I’m staying, I hated them. They were so noisy and they act as if they own the house. My boardmates were also annoyed by the way they’re acting so we sometimes end up talking about them.

Anyway, as time goes by, my sister and I found out that there’s something different about them. They needed help. And so, we got closer to them and we helped them in their emotional and sometimes, financial problems. Between us, a wonderful friendship was made.

Life was going smoothly until one day, we have to be separated. The elder sister had to go to Manila to work and the younger sister had to go back to Mindanao. We hated the idea. We don’t want to be separated from them and they also don’t want to be away from us. We served as their guide and they look up to us as their mentors of life. But there’s nothing left to be done. They have to go away.

My sister and I accepted the truth and embraced the idea that it would be for their best if they can find themselves eventhough we’re far from each other. We know we have planted something in their hearts that would help them. And that is to trust God and make Him part of their plans. Knowing that, we didn’t feel sadness because we know they’ll be OK. And we will also be fine.

The day of their departure drew near. The first one to leave was the younger sister. We said our goodbyes and she cried. The pain of leaving friends behind. I faced her with courage and fought my tears trying to spring out of my eyes. She has been my bestfriend and we shared many nights laughing together, waking up almost everybody and have them yell at us to shut up. I gave her a blouse for a remembrance and i guessed she liked it. I didn’t feel so lonely then. I was OK.

Two days later, the elder sister had to go. We woke up so early in the morning to accompany her to the airport. We said our goodbyes and watch her enter the departure area. Then, we went back to the house. My sister and I were OK then. The moment we reached our boarding house, that’s the time we realized how sad it is when friends left. We feel empty. Loneliness started to hit us.

As I was looking at their empty room and reminiscing all of the happy and sad memories, I realize that going away is painful but being the one left behind hurts more. I didn’t realize I was already crying. I prayed that things are going to be alright.

Now, it’s already 3 weeks since they left. Things are starting to get back to normal and we maintain our communication and closeness. Closeness doesn’t have to be sitting next to each other. It is the feeling that connects you to each other no matter how far they are. We’re still guiding them and they’re still loving us. After all, we live as happy as the way we were living then. And I’m sure it will be happier as time goes by.
